hi there,
thank you very much for sharing such wonderful designs with the world ..
I wanted to ask you about some edits I need to make but I don’t know how
If you checked out (majoudis.blogspot.com) you’ll see I couldn’t define the post date and I need to remove some other lists like (Home and RSS stuff) ..
can you help me out please?
thanks
July 23rd, 2009 at 10:56 pm
Hi there,
Regarding the post date:
After login, go to Layout > Page Elements > edit Blog Posts > change time format to long date (e.g Wednesday, June 17, 2009). Remember, change time format NOT date format.
It would be the 3rd field.

Hi!
Wanted to say thanks for making beautiful blog templates available!
I’m trying to upload and edit this template onto my blog but am having a couple of difficulties. First, I can’t seem to edit out the ‘feature content” to replace it with my own stuff. Also, is there a reason why the color change buttons don’t work? I can’t seem to figure it out!
Thanks!
August 22nd, 2009 at 1:23 am
Hi Lilly,
For the featured content, you would have to edit/add in content via ‘Layout’ -> ‘Edit HTML’ and in the text field do a CTRL + F search for ‘featured-content’ without the quotes. Edit that text and put in whatever you want and it will appear
About the color change buttons, are you referring to the 4 colors beside the Featured Content area?

Thanks! I wasn’t expecting such a quick response!
Regarding the color change buttons, yes, I was talking about those.
August 22nd, 2009 at 10:26 am
Hi Lily, those color change buttons, I am afraid that’s just the design of the site, you cant change them into buttons
September 2nd, 2009 at 1:56 am
How do I edit the About Me section? I can’t find the options tab you are referring to where I can make the changes. Thanks! Awesome layout!
September 2nd, 2009 at 1:58 am
Hi Mae,
Go to ‘Edit HTML’ under Layout and in the codes there do a CTRL + F search for the keyword ‘about’. You should see a href=”#” link or something to that, replace the # with your ‘about’ page URL and your done
Cheers

Love this template, and have worked through most of the personalizations. Having a couple of issues moving from my test blog to my live blog.
My big questions is, is there a way to remove the ‘read more’ button? I don’t want to condense posts, so would prefer to not have it there.
September 21st, 2009 at 4:31 pm
Thanks for this awesome template…
I would like to ask if there is away to put a picture into the featured content box, instead of words?
Next, I added some widget to my blog but I don’t seems to be able to customize the font size of the newly added widgets. please advice.
Thank you!

Hi Ivan,
Do you know how to add an img src html code ? You would need to go to Layout -> Edit HTML and find the description code which is somewhere near the top, you can try searching for the default description text there, then you would need to link to the image you want. You would need to however upload the image to a free image hosting site first.
Cheers
September 22nd, 2009 at 11:15 pm
yea, thanks for the advice.
I was trying to remove the words ‘ featured-content’ but it doesn’t seems to work out. I could easily change the words under title but I have trouble leaving it blank.
Is there anyway I could remove the words while keeping the original image there?
thanks.
September 22nd, 2009 at 11:52 pm
Hi Ivan,
Under Layout -> Edit HTML, can you do a CTRL + F search for featured content, can you find it? Have you tried removing it from there?
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:50 pm
hi! thanks for the beautiful layout!
two questions though.
one: i tried changing the post date, but it still comes up as undefined.
second: how do you tuck the post under the read more link? that way the entire post doesnt show up on the home page and you can click read more to get the entire article?
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:12 pm
Hi Christine,
1st Qn: After login, go to Layout > Page Elements > edit Blog Posts > change time format to long date (e.g Wednesday, June 17, 2009). Remember, change time format NOT date format.
It would be the 3rd field.
2nd: As for this, you may try to google it with these keywords: read more link in blogger posts
You will find some useful information there.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Hi Admin,
I’ve tried removing from the ‘featured content’ from the html code. but once I delete it, the whole image is gone all together with the words. What I am planning to do is to removed the words but keep the image in tag and later replace a new picture of my own.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 pm
Hi Ivan,
Try removing only the text that says featured-content. Don’t remove the other html tags, does this work for you?
September 24th, 2009 at 8:59 am
THANK YOU!!!
and just one more question, is there a way to show the “reactions” box at the bottom of the post in this layout?
October 24th, 2009 at 4:53 am
Hi
Great template! – I spent a whole afternoon searching for a bright colorful layout yet having room for some unique features. As soon as I came across yours, I knew this was the one.:D
One question – How can I replace or add a new tag near “Home, Posts RSS, Comments RSS”? I found where I can change “Comments RSS” into say “About” but how do I create a new html page so that when I click on “About” I do not land on the “Comments RSS”? It needs to have a http://www.myname.blogspot.com/about.html link but I do not know how to create this new page on a blog.
Thanks
October 25th, 2009 at 3:49 am
Hi Graz,
Go to Layout -> Edit HTML and search for this keyphrase using CTRL + F
class=’clearfix’ id=’navigation’
Under that you can see the links, you can modify them from there. Feel free to ask again if you face any problems.
October 25th, 2009 at 4:28 am
Thank for yr prompt reply
Yes I did that but when I click on the new link I created it takes me to a “Page not found Sorry, the page you were looking for in the blog does not exist.” How and from where do I add content in this new page?
Thanks for your help

Hi admin,
I love the template but I have a slight problem with the widgets..they only show on the bottom of the page instead of the side and thus look a little ugly..how can I correct that?
October 26th, 2009 at 2:50 pm
Hi Affy, can you list your blog url under the website field so I can take a look.

I mean I need to take a look at your blog url so I can see exactly what you meant. For the menu navigational bar links, you would need to go to Layout -> Edit HTML to edit the links so it links up properly to the pages you created.
October 30th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Its ok – I managed to find a way.
Thanks anyway

Hi,
Thank you for your great template.
I noticed today that the background images are not showing up. could you check what has happened?
Cheers!

November 11th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Hi admin,
Thanks for the template. It’s great.
Is it possible to show labels in my posts?
how can i do that?
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:51 pm
hi admin!
i am new to blogging, and i really like your template! thanks for sharing.
sorry, but is there any way i can find out how i can use the template after downloading it? i’ve tried to copy the xml file into my blog, but i get this warning about widgets being deleted, and i am not sure what else i have to do.
many thanks!
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:09 pm
Hi QJ,
You do not have to worry about the widgets being deleted. Proceed with it and the template will be installed
December 5th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Hi admin,
Thanks for your reply! I did that and it’s all nicely loaded now. One question though: the main area where all the text is seems to fill up the entire screen, as opposed to the sample screenshot that was provided for this template, which shows a substantial border of the dark brown background around the text area. is there any way i can resize this? (i have included my blog link just in case you want to get an idea of what i am describing)
many thanks! really appreciate your help (:
December 6th, 2009 at 12:09 am
Nice blog QJ,
I am afraid you cannot resize the brown featured content area, if you do that the template would break.
God Bless you!
December 7th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
oh i see! ok i shall leave it as it is then. many thanks for your quick responses! and really, the template is lovely!
god bless you too (:
January 4th, 2010 at 9:29 am
Hi! Fantastic template.
I have a few quick questions – I’ve uploaded the template and it looks great, but the widgets aren’t showing up on the left, although I have them in the layout. I will also be adding more there – is there something special I need to do for them to show up on the blog? Also, to add a picture, between the blog title and the about section – what would I need to do. I already have image hosting set up, just need to know where to “stick it”.
Last but not least – I’ve read through the other comments and while this issue came up, I couldn’t see if it was resolved – I would like to change the links on the top and the bottom (home, posts, comments, edit) to home, about, archive, contact. I understand that I would need to change the link info – but what link to I put there and how do I create those pages? Is this a blogger question? Sorry, to bug you with it if it is.
I’m new to blogging and can’t wait to get this up and running. What a great find!
Thanks!
January 4th, 2010 at 10:33 am
Hi Heidi,
To change the Home, Posts, Comments, Edit link, go to Layout -> Edit HTML and do a CTRL + F search for
ul class=’clearfix’ id=’navigation’
There is only 1 instance of this code in the template file, below this line of codes you can find the links to those menu links which you can change the text as well as the url link destination of them. To create those pages, you can create a blog post and put About and Contact information in each of them and link to them. As for archive, I am not sure if you can put a link to the whole year’s archive but I know you can for monthly, just select the monthly archive and copy the url that it shows you and your good to go.
As for the widgets, you can go to Layout and there you can just add gadgets aka widgets.
To add a picture, there should be an Option panel in blogger for you to do that, do you see it there? You can try adding in an image url to that or you can manually add it into the codes as well. The code to replace with your image is
About me. Edit this in the options panel
Do a CTRL + F search for the above in Edit HTML.
Hope that helps, cheers!

I am facing a problem. My post title beside it one can see there is undefined written. I want to remove it from there. How can i do it ?
January 10th, 2010 at 3:18 am

January 17th, 2010 at 6:27 am
How can I (step-by-step) add a picture to the large Blog Title square?
January 19th, 2010 at 5:36 am
How do I change the title “Color Paper” and put in my own?
January 19th, 2010 at 3:44 pm
Hi Alison,
Do you mean the Color Paper on the right sidebar?
Go to Layout -> Edit HTML and do a CTRL + F search for:
div id=’logo’
right below that you can see h1 tag followed by Color Paper, change that text to the one you want and your set to go.
Cheers
January 22nd, 2010 at 2:37 am
Quick Question – Is there a way to put a border around my pictures? I knew how to do this on the last template I had, but its not working for me with this one.
Thanks!
January 22nd, 2010 at 4:02 pm
Hmm not quite sure on how to do that Jennifer, what was the method you did previously? Mayb I can tweek on that and get it working.
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:37 pm
before I would search for .post img { and add info to it so it looked like this
.post img {
padding: 4px;
border: 1px solid #cccccc;
but I can’t make it work. This usually is in the post part of the html, but i can’t tell if it .post img { is in the post part or not.
I’m not skilled with html, but i did figure out this trick and could even change the border width and color with my last template
January 26th, 2010 at 8:10 pm
Awesome!! I’ll use if for my new blog. Thanks for sharing
January 31st, 2010 at 6:04 am
I LOVE this blog theme… but I am having trouble actually getting it on as my theme… I could use some ‘adding a blog theme for dummies’ on this one…
thanks for the awesome themes… this one is by far my favorite!!
February 2nd, 2010 at 12:12 am
I love this theme! EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for!
My problem, though, is that I can’t seem to download it! I dowload, and I either get an error, or the download completes but says there are no files to extract from the zipped file.
Apparently, I, like Raylene, could use some “adding a blog theme for dummies”
Thanks so much!
February 2nd, 2010 at 8:14 pm
Hi M,
Which unzip software are you using? Try winrar, winzip or 7zip. I just downloaded and unzip it works.
February 2nd, 2010 at 8:21 pm
As for adding this theme to your blog.
After you download and unzipped it you should find ColorPaper.xml in it. Go to your blogger dashboard -> Layout -> Edit HTML and upload ColorPaper.xml and the template will show up
Cheers
February 4th, 2010 at 10:16 pm
Thanks, Swank! I just wasn’t unzipping it properly.
February 15th, 2010 at 6:47 am
Thank you so much! It took a lot of trial and error but I got it to where it’s 90% completed. Save for a few oopsies, some of which I gave up trying to fix again, but I survived the task of laying my info out the way I wanted to see it. Modifying took a lot more HTML skills than I had but I survived and was able to get a nice family picture on the “featured content” section and got the fonts to behave the way I wanted. A pity I probably won’t remember half of what I did to get where I got but I guess I can’t complain too much. It’s a great template…thank you again!
February 23rd, 2010 at 9:31 am
Love your work!
I tried following your instructions to replace “Color Paper” with my own text, but when I did the Ctrl F search it simply told me the phrase could not be found. Do you have any further ideas?
Thanks,
Kim
February 23rd, 2010 at 9:37 am
I found it. Sorry. However, is there a way to resize the font? My title is slightly too large.
Thanks,
Kim
February 25th, 2010 at 1:21 am
I followed your advice to Mae regarding changing the ‘about me’ section that tell us to edit it under the options tab; unfortunately when I type in ‘about’ in the Ctrl F box, it tells me no phrase can be found. Can you please help?
Thank you,
Kim
February 26th, 2010 at 9:26 am
Hi, first, excuse my english
Love this template.
But, can we add tags to entrances? How?
Thanks,
Noa.
February 27th, 2010 at 8:21 pm
Sorry, probably it is said “posts” instead of “entrances”
February 28th, 2010 at 12:52 am
How can I add the “reactions bar” to this template? I am new to the blogging world!
thank you for your help!
March 26th, 2010 at 10:39 am
Hello,
I love this template–but have a MAC and nothing that will read an xml file. is there any way I can use your template anyway? can I have an HTML version??
March 29th, 2010 at 1:07 am
hi admin, i had s problem to remove my header. i can’t remove directly from page element so, can u tell me the way??
April 9th, 2010 at 11:07 am
Great template, thanks so much! One question: can I remove the “change colors” text that appears on the left sidebar? I searched for it in the html code but couldn’t find that.
April 9th, 2010 at 11:45 am
Hi Tina,
Are you referring to the few color tabs on the left of the Featured Content area?
April 9th, 2010 at 2:23 pm
Nice publish! GA is also my biggest earning. Nonetheless, it is not a significantly.
April 22nd, 2010 at 6:51 am
Hi,
I love this template and was wondering if you could help me navigate it better…
I can’t seem to find the ‘options’ panel referred to in the sidebar
and…the ‘Edit’ button does not respond.
How do I change the title from ‘Color Paper’ to something else?
Also, the first post did not post a ‘date’. Rather it said, ‘undefined’.
Do you know what I’m doing wrong?
Please advise.
Thank you!
Christine
May 2nd, 2010 at 12:20 pm
Thanks a lot for this theme. It looks professional, and its beautiful and fonctional at the same time.
May 12th, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Don’t the color tabs on the top left work at all? A bit misleading since there’s an arrow there stating ” change colors”….
May 12th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Hi Amane,
I am afraid those dont work on blogger, this was a wordpress converted template and the color tabs only work for wordpress, sorry.
May 15th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Hey, Thanks so much for the awesome layout! i absolutely love it. the only problem i have is that when i view it and press edit it doesnt do anything. is there a link i need to post? Thanks, and again…awesome layout.
May 15th, 2010 at 5:39 pm
Hi India,
The edit link doesnt work here as this is a converted template from WordPress. To edit post or write new post you have to access it from blogger dashboard itself by going to blogger.com
Cheers,
Swank
May 21st, 2010 at 8:58 am
hey i installed the template it looks nice but i have a few problem I am trying to create a “Contact” page i know you mentioned this before but i cant seem to get it im using a third party contact form widget how do i put that like i did with the “home” button.
Also, how do i change the “cool paper” to my own writting. lastly if you look at my blog the header is at the sidebar how do i get up it up. thanks
June 26th, 2010 at 12:37 am
Hello!
I think this layout is great. My only problem is the “Undefined.” I followed the instructions in the Edit – Layout mode and changed it to the long date – Friday, June 25, 2010, and it’s still coming up “Undefined.” If I can’t fix this, can you direct me to where in the html coding I could just take out the “Undefined” all together? I’d like to have the date, but if I can’t fix it, I’d rather not have it.
I appreciate the help, thank you!

Hi Ann,
You have to edit the blog post gadget and change to the long date. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Admin,
.
Thanks for this awesome template. Best of best that I’ve ever seen.
But it seems to see have some mistakes, or my mistakes
The problem is: I’ve captured my screen, so you just need to check it out.

Please show me the way to solve this.
Thanks you so much.
Jimi.
July 4th, 2010 at 12:32 am
Hi Jimi,
I seen the screenshot, that is strange. So far no one complained of that problem. Can you try writing in paragraphs and see if this problem still appears?
July 4th, 2010 at 12:43 am
Oh dear,
. I’m really impressed.
.
You ‘re faster than the lightning
I don’t know what happened. When I copy/paste, that problem occurs, but when I try typing word by word, it doesn’t
Anyway, thank you so much.
July 4th, 2010 at 2:39 am
Lol haha indeed a strange incident, anyway glad it works for you now =D
July 7th, 2010 at 8:57 pm
Hi!
I L*O*V*E this theme!
Could anyone tell me how to add a small image (150x150px) in the About
section in the sidebar? (Just above the catagories, archives etc)
Thanks!
July 7th, 2010 at 11:15 pm
Hi Odd Doll,
To add a 150*150px image in the about section, go to your blogger dashboard -> Design and there should be a gadget there in the sidebar for About us section for you to add an image in there. But first you need to upload your image to a free image hosting site.
If the above method doesnt work, go to Design -> Edit HTML and do a CTRL + F search for the word ‘about’ without the quotes and add in your image url there.
Cheers

Genuinely fantastic post, I appreciated reading it. It had a number of fantastic information and facts. I will be bookmarking this website.
September 27th, 2010 at 1:40 am
Hi! It might be a stupid question, but how do you ad this (or any) template instead of the boring design I have now? I’ve already downloaded this one.
Nura
September 27th, 2010 at 1:24 pm
Hi Nura,
After you downloaded you need to unzip the file using winrar or 7zip. After which you can find a ColorPaper.xml file in the folder.
You need to go to your blogger dashboard -> Layout and upload ColorPaper.xml file and you are good to go.
Cheers,

Hi everyone! I finally figured out the time stamp prob! For blogspot you need to go to formatting then change the time. It’s different on there. However I can’t figure out where the options panel is to work on about me! Been searching for about 2 hours lol! I’m determined! Anybhelp would be great:)
October 13th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
Hi Emily,
Have you tried going to the Designs Tab -> Edit HTML tab and then do a CTRL + F search for the keyword ‘about me’ without the quotes? You should be able to edit the text in there. Let me know how it goes.

Perfect thanks! One more thing:) I had a picture in the top section using the pictures URL code.. Was super cute in there but I woke up this am and its gone! The URL is still there in the text however no pic. I went to picassa to redo it but I can’t even get a URL code now there either.. Maybe something going in with google? I tried messing with the code so now I may have it messed up anyways when the URL decides to return:) just weird it was up yesterday and down today
October 14th, 2010 at 3:52 am
Ok so I put up the pic.. Found the code by pretending to upload it from picas to blogspot then pretending to edit the HTML then I copied the code instead. Problem is it’s huge and goes behind the words!:) I do like it big but it was so perfect when I first had it now picassa won’t give me a url its so weird! Anyway to fix? You can see it at Emilylucarz.blogspot.com
Thanks so much!:)

So thats all thats left
. Now im really messed up! The title says photo of the month: then i had a picture there and it was perfect. Now gone
I was going to change the pic each month but maybe not
Any help would be great. Will prob take u 2 seconds verses my hours to fix
October 14th, 2010 at 6:54 pm
Hi Emily,
Regarding the picture in the top section. Where is that picture uploaded to or hosted at? If it is not appearing it could be the server hosting that image is down. If it is hosted with picaso earlier and the picture isn’t showing up today, that would mean Google’s server went down. Normally in situations like this, you may just have to wait it out till their server comes back online and the picture will show again. If it does not show for many days then you may choose to re-upload that picture in another image host and change the URL.
As for the current problem you are facing, it would be quite hard to debug and fix it as I do not really know what was changed. The best option may be to re-download this template from here and re-upload it again and do any changes you need. Your blog posts will still remain even after you re-upload the template again.
I would advise you to download the template from here as I see you are not currently using the template downloaded from here. I won’t be able to give support or let you know how to fix certain things if the template is downloaded elsewhere.
Cheers

If you click on read more and scroll down you can see where to post a comment. Just wondering how I can have it under my post without having to click read more. I have 2 tech savy people that left messages, but everyone else cant figure out how to. THanks!

Hi! I’m new to using Blogger in general, but I’m a bit confused as to how to use the Friends and Link section on the side. Do I need to add the links and stuff in there myself? If so, how do I do that?

Wow!, this was a real quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get something done
