June 16th, 2009 at 11:55 am
I will be fixing it soon, will upload the fixed version later, download it again after I reply its fixed.
June 17th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Hi Peksi,
The template is working fine, follow the instructions below.
After login, go to Layout > Page Elements > edit Blog Posts > change time format to long date (e.g Wednesday, June 17, 2009). Remember, change time format NOT date format.
It would be the 3rd field.
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:58 am
i’m trying to open the xml, but i keep getting errors.
June 23rd, 2009 at 9:55 am
What are the errors that you are getting?
June 24th, 2009 at 3:59 am
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Which browser are you using? Maybe try firefox and see if it’s loading fine?
I just downloaded it and re-upload and it seems to be working fine on my side.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:23 am
This template is lovely! Thanks!!!
July 9th, 2009 at 4:38 am
Hi! I’m coming across another problem in both firefox 3.0.11 and IE 7.0. When editing a post or creating a new post, the field is missing to enter a title for the post… so the post ends up title-less. This happens even when I go to edit a previous post that had a title.
July 9th, 2009 at 9:32 am
April, it seems to be working fine for me the way it is shown in the demo. Have you tried downloading the template and uploading it again?
July 10th, 2009 at 9:47 am
Thank you that worked. I don’t know what else I changed when I was tweaking the code! It’s a beautiful layout, thank you!
July 10th, 2009 at 10:35 am
Okay. I retract my previous statement. LOL After only tweaking a few font values and getting my sidebar the way I like it, I decided to try to edit my last post to add a title since my other posts with titles reappeared… but again, there is no field for me to enter a title for the blog. Could it be one of the gadgets I’m adding that causing the problem? Is this a Blogger problem?
Go ahead and have a look, my name links back to my blog.
July 31st, 2009 at 12:21 am
i cannot open the xml.keep getting errors. how to put the layout to my blog?
August 1st, 2009 at 5:07 am
I love this template! I had just uploaded it a couple days ago from another site. But I wanted to try and upload it from here since the middle part seems to be wider than the one I have (mine is over lapping).
I downloaded it and it was a zip file. (like all the templates I’ve tried.) but it wont let me extract the files, got errors.
How come I cant even get it?
August 1st, 2009 at 11:34 am
Hi Stephanie, which program did you use to unzip the file? I am using winrar and it extracts properly. You would have to uplkoad the WaterColor XML file to blogger after you have unzipped this downloaded file. Let me know more details so I can help.
August 2nd, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Love, love, love the template!
It is just beautiful, thanks so much! Thanks also for the tip re: time format, worked a treat.
August 11th, 2009 at 8:22 am
Thank you for posting this template. I love it! Is there any way to get the dark teal headers to allow more than one line? With the writing in white, if the title goes over one line then it is lost in the light teal.
August 20th, 2009 at 10:21 am
This is lovely. No hiccups. Changed the time and its all working beautifully.
Thank You.
August 24th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
i did everything u said and it still doesn’t work on mine
August 25th, 2009 at 12:04 am
Hi Nadia,
What are the errors that you are getting? Please post them here so we can help thanks!
August 27th, 2009 at 5:09 am
I cannot put the template on my blog! I am using a MAC. I do not see html code to copy and paste. I have tried downloading, but that isn’t working. Can you give directions?
August 27th, 2009 at 10:33 am
Hi Aneka,
The folder you downloaded from here is in zipped format. You would need to download free winrar or 7zip program to unzip the folder before you can find a watercolor.xml file. That is the file you use to upload to blogger. Try that and let me know if it works for you.
September 25th, 2009 at 3:22 am
I’m having trouble with the about me gadget… it actually lists my members under the about me header. Am I doing something wrong?
September 25th, 2009 at 10:18 am
Hi Mrs Strack,
What sort of members are you referring to?
September 25th, 2009 at 11:58 am
it lists the people who read my blog… i figured it would say my profile info.
September 29th, 2009 at 11:18 am
Hi there,
I want to use this template for my blog (blogger.com) cause it is sooo gorgeous, but when I tried to copy and paste the html, I kept getting these error messages…
Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The entity name must immediately follow the ‘&’ in the entity reference.
Do you know why this is happening?
Thanks!
September 29th, 2009 at 11:30 am
Hi Jennyfish,
Have you tried uploading WaterColor.xml as a whole into Edit HTML text box instead of copying and paste the html?
Cheers
September 29th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
When I open Watercolor.xml I get this error message…
error on line 934 at column 3789: Failed to parse QName ‘expr:g:’
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or not…
Thanks
October 3rd, 2009 at 5:42 pm
hey swank

how can i make it rite?? ;(
THANKS!
October 3rd, 2009 at 6:04 pm
Hey Zen,
Have you tried uploading the whole WaterColor.xml file instead of just copying the html over?
October 3rd, 2009 at 8:02 pm
And I tried opening with Firefox and this is the error message I get:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Line Number 934, Column 23: <div expr:g:background-color=’data:backgroundColor’ expr:g:text-color=’data:textColor’ expr:g:url=’data:post.abso
October 3rd, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Hi Joanna,
Did you uploaded the whole WaterColor.xml file under ‘Layout’ -> ‘Edit HTML’? I just did that and it worked for me.
October 4th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
hi! love the template… however i keep getting the dates looking like this:

October 9th, 2009 at 12:54 am
This template is perfect! thank you
October 9th, 2009 at 3:32 am
Hi, I was wondering how I can change the font and colors of the sidebar? Also make the post headers a little larger?
Thanks!
October 12th, 2009 at 5:07 am
Thanks for the template! I’ve been having issues with it though. Sometimes when people try to read my blog, they say the graphics don’t show up and it’s just a tan background. How can I fix this?
October 12th, 2009 at 8:26 am
Hi Jess, it could be our server. We are currently doing an upgrade to it with much more capacity to host your images for free. Please bear with us. After this upgrade the images will appear good and up
October 15th, 2009 at 6:21 pm
I love this template and I decided to run it only on my computer. I’m complete beginner. Please advise …
Thanks!
October 15th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
Er..I’m just asking…How come did this website’s template can be putted up the blog?I tried many times from other websites, but the template just couldn’t be uploaded into the blog.
October 16th, 2009 at 3:16 pm

October 16th, 2009 at 7:03 pm
Hi Mabo, what sort of advise are you looking for? Are you seeking help on uploading this template to your blogger blog?
Hi Pam, you go to ‘Layout’ -> ‘Edit HTML’ and upload the whole WaterColor.xml file and your done
October 17th, 2009 at 12:17 am
Hello,
Nice template. I have been searching (and changing) for nice templates for my new blog. I really love the colours you put into this template
However I am seeing a few difference with the one that is published here.
1. Your butterfly clip is hiding behind the notepad
2. There is a brown strip on the left of the notepad (this makes my published topics seems to be out of place because it is out of the notepad)
Hope you will be able to help me in this. Thanks
October 17th, 2009 at 12:20 am
Oh..one more thing. Your Page 1, Page 2 labels are also gone..
October 17th, 2009 at 12:41 am
Hi Lyssa,
I dont happen to see the brown strip that you are seeing. As for the page 1 and page 2 labels. Are you referring to that on the image screenshot here? It was named as Page 1 and Page 2 for labels which is actually just simply labels, it does not categorize the posts per page. Hope that helps!
Cheers
October 17th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
Hello Swank,
Actually I just thought that the Page 1 and Page 2 on the template looks nice. Hence just asking about it. But if does not appear, it is still ok
As for the brownstrip…it is actually on the left and right of my blog (whereas this template above does not have this strip). I have some problem with this because at times when I go into my blog, my publish date does not show (it is out of the screen). I can fix this by zomming the page to less than 100 then zoom it back to 100%.
Another additional problem I have (it was commented by those that wanted to comment on my page)…is that when they typed their comment and want to submit, they cannot go to the verification word box (it is hidden below). Someone told me if they used the TAB button, then he can go into the verification box. Hope someone here can try it out as anonymous to know what I actually mean. THanks
October 17th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
Ok…to solve my problem on the word verification, I have changed the settings of comment to “pop-out window” instead of “embedded below post”…
Still having the problem of the brown strips at the sides though (do not really mind this but at times it blocks away my published date)
October 19th, 2009 at 11:34 am
hey,
i love it and ive never seen a blog like this, but i have one problem with the register, when i save my new posts they werent shown like yours with that purple date sign on the left hand side, there only stands undefined, how can i change this??
October 19th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Hi Co, kindly refer to the 3rd comment of this post/page and you can find the solution there
October 22nd, 2009 at 8:23 pm
okj thanks, i just missed this comment!! i just fixed it!! its so lovely
October 28th, 2009 at 4:42 pm
I love this template and have managed to upload it following the instructions above and changing the timestamp – although it wasn’t where you said it would be!!!
However I have lost the lefthand side of the page. How do I shrink it down?
October 28th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
Please ignore previous comment as I have fixed that problem.
Now I cannot edit the font and size of the header.
October 30th, 2009 at 4:48 am
hi, this is by far the best-looking template I’ve seen and it fits really nicely with my blog. But I’ve noticed that my posts float about. Sometimes it’s something simple like opening the favourites tab on the left hand side of my IE8 browser, but I’ve noticed it’s doing it as well when I try to add a widget. Is this something others have experienced? Cheers
October 30th, 2009 at 1:01 pm
Not sure what you meant fully Moira but I am seeing your blog showing up perfect on my side here using Firefox.
October 30th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Hi Swank,
I’m using IE8. Can you see it from that browser or do you not use it at all?
The post just shifts to the left occasionally, outside of the white background. As I said in my previous post, it moves either when I resize the window (by opening the favourites tab on the left hand side of the browser, which makes the main window slightly smaller) or else when I add a widget to the side bar of the template. I would appreciate if anyone usine IE 8 can tell me if they had this problem as well.
Thanks
October 31st, 2009 at 9:22 am
Hi Moira,
Ok I got what you meant. I don’t see this problem on Firefox or on Google Chrome but only on IE 7. Dont have IE 8 here. But then again, IE is actually one of the worst browsers compared to #1 Firefox and #2 Google Chrome. You should change to Firefox Moira
IE uses outdated browser technology and the only reason why still so many people uses it is because it comes together as default for new computers =/ Right now about 36% of the world uses Firefox.
November 1st, 2009 at 4:14 am
Well Swank you’re right. Unfortunately most of the people who view my blog use IE too, and although I can try, I don’t know if I’ll succeed in getting everyone to shift to Firefox
Until then, is there anything that can be done to this template to make it work on IE?
November 1st, 2009 at 10:53 am
Ok I will see if I can get a coder to fix it. Will update here again when I post up the fixed version.
November 1st, 2009 at 3:19 pm
I finally got it. Whew. I’m a bit clumsy in the coding department, but with your instructions (and only one little intervention from my hubby) I got Watercolor downloaded onto my blog and it is amazing!
I’ve been thinking about renewing my stale blog for more than a year now. I finally started poking around looking at themes. I thought I’d have to change over to wordpress since they seem to dominate with the really cool themes, like Watercolor.
Imagine my utter delight when I found You, someone who had made Watercolor possible for Blogger’s like me!
So, I totally want to hook you up with a gift card. Will you email? For real!
November 1st, 2009 at 3:27 pm
i did notice that on my mobile device the watercolor template didn’t translate over. any thoughts about this? not a big deal. though we all know that mobile browsing is becoming more and more common….
November 1st, 2009 at 6:10 pm
Hi Pam,
I have emailed you
Currently all blogger templates do not work well on mobile phones. I will speak with my developer if they could be done so for mobile phones though frankly I dont think Blogger has the template mobility widget for templates yet.
Cheers
November 2nd, 2009 at 4:34 am
Hi James,
Oh, of course! I had a custom header on my previous template and it showed up nicely in mobile browsers. Not a big deal, but yeah, blogger is kinda podunk about some things. I love ‘em, since I’ve been with them since 05. I’m willing to be patient since they really made it so simple for techno-illiterates like me to navigate ourselves in the blogosphere. Brand loyalty I think it’s called.
Ok, I’m gonna go over to Amazon and get you that gift card. Seriously. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge, time and passion with the rest of us!
November 2nd, 2009 at 11:29 am
Hi Pam,
Its my pleasure helping you and the community. If one day you ever need help or want to port over to wordpress, let me know I will help you with it including the hosting. I am a big fan of wordpress myself. Actually this site is created on wordpress too
November 3rd, 2009 at 4:27 am
Oh my this is stunning and what a find for a freshman like me. Thanks so much for sharing your tremendous talent!
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:10 pm
Thanks James. I’ll keep that in mind. We’ll see how it goes with the new Blogger digs for a while. I’m part of a collaborative site that is about to move to Wordpress. That’ll be a great way for me to see how it drives. I’ll let you know…stay well, and all the best….!
November 5th, 2009 at 1:24 am
Love this template… but for the last two days its been showing up as just a tan background when I go to my blog. Help!
November 5th, 2009 at 1:31 am
Hi TC,
We are currently upgrading the image servers with new hardware. The server that hosts the images will be back online in about 2-4 hours time. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
November 5th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Thanks James! I’m sending out my next newsletter tomorrow and totally want to direct my readership to my new fancified blog. I feel reassured that I’ll be able to do so.
Stay well!
November 10th, 2009 at 9:47 am
Hi, have you already fixed the images? I’m asking because the same thing that happened with TC has happened to me…
November 10th, 2009 at 10:54 am
Hi Patricia, the images problem has been fixed since then. The images are showing fine now, you can check with the demo of this template here. Are you able to see the images on your side now?
November 11th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Today’s mornig I was able to see the images, but now they disappeared again… Maybe the problem is my computer…
November 12th, 2009 at 6:34 am
Oh, now the images are ok, thank you
November 14th, 2009 at 8:25 am
I just downloaded this template and its just a beige background??? I really wanted the images at the top.
November 16th, 2009 at 3:49 am
Hi James,
I would be very happy if you could tell me how to change the color and font. When I click layout>fonts and color nothing appears.
Thanks
Mesecina
November 16th, 2009 at 10:43 am
Hi Pam, are you sure? Try refreshing your browser, maybe the server was down when you tried to access it.
Hi Mesecina, are you referring to the font and color of the blog post text?
November 19th, 2009 at 7:42 am
I love my new layout, however, where the purple tab is on the left for the date, on my website its covered over in writing saying “undefined”? Please help get it off, lol.
November 19th, 2009 at 9:05 am
Hi Jaime,
Please refer to the 3rd comment on this page, you will find the solution fix there
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:31 pm
Ok, I see a ton of people have asked about changing the font but no one has answered so I will try. I would like to have my header be the same as the header on this page. If you look at my blog, the heading is in a very plain font and doesn’t match the rest of the template at all. As someone else said, when you try to go to Layouts > Fonts & Colors, you cannot change anything. How can I get the header font to look like it does here?
Thanks!
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:33 pm
One more question – how often is the server updated? More often than not, the images do not show up. I hate to complain about it since it’s free but it can be frustrating. Thanks again!
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:49 am
Hi TC,
I will check with the coder on the font type and see if it can be changed.
Are the images not showing up for you now? We had to run a few server hardware upgrades and maintenance about a week ago which caused the images to go offline for about a few days at different intervals. But now that the server has been upgraded, the images should stay online 100%.
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:08 am
Still not working. I will keep checking. Thanks for the quick reply!
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:27 am
Still not working? That’s strange! How long has it not been working for you?
I am able to load your site with the images just fine. You can verify as well through a proxy, try load your blog from www . skooproxy.com . com
Let me know if it loads for you through the proxy. Then I may be able to advise you further.
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:37 am
Ok, just checked and now it is finally working.
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:39 am
i can’t open up the xml . . . it says there is an error.
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:48 am
What error are you seeing NL? Please post it here so I can take a look, thanks
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:23 pm
hi love the template but I cant seem to change the font or font size. Is that not possible to do this with this template?pls advise
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Hi Darsh,
I am afraid that is not possible as this is a wordpress converted template.
December 9th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Hi admin..i’m eqa from Malaysia..love this template but having problem to use it..i know where to change template, but after downloaded from here, the file appeared as images (folder), readme (notepad) and watercolour (for internet something)..i really don’t know how to apply them..i mean which one have to be copied/uploaded to our edit HTML part?
December 10th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
I love this template, thanks so much! It’s beautiful.
December 19th, 2009 at 6:08 pm
Hi. I too love this template but like others have requested, would love to change the font of my header (neither here nor there) to a script style such as you show on this page! How do you change the font and size of both the header and the small text underneath? What do I need to alter in the HTML and where?
TG
December 19th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Hi Technogran,
I am afraid right at this moment it is not possible, my coder is still finding a way out for that on Blogger platform. This template is originally from Wordpress and hence you see that stylish header font as it is possible with Wordpress.
December 19th, 2009 at 6:56 pm
But of cause if you really want a custom stylish header font on your blogger blog, you still can. But you need to design it, upload the image somewhere and then change the html code to show the image instead.
December 26th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
Hi, I love your design on navigation tab” page 1 & page 2 ” but I don’t know how I can put them up in my blog, please help. Thank you!
December 26th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Hi HyeLyn,
Can you post your blogger url in the website field of the comments so I can take a look. You have to go to Layout -> Edit HTML and serach for the page 1 page 2 tag and then edit it to point to the pages you want.
December 26th, 2009 at 4:46 pm
Done that, thank you! I am just starting on setting up my blog today and came across your template. Nice work! Thank you for sharing
December 26th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Another question, how does the HTML for page 1 and 2 looks like and can i add more of them? Thank you
December 26th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
I believe you can add pages in blogger, if cant then just add a post. Afterwhich if you want to point page 1 to eg. About us page. You can create a post on About Us and link to it from the codes. Hope that make sense.
December 26th, 2009 at 5:01 pm
Yup, thank you, but I am still confuse on how to get the navigation tab design (page 1 & 2) appear in my homepage. Just like the picture you published here. Thanks.
December 26th, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Hmm I get what you mean, I am afraid you have to wait until our coder sorts that out.
December 30th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
hi there,
i love the template!! thanks so much.
however, do you know how to get the font for the header the same as yours? I currently have a standard block type, but would like the script that you have above. thanks!
January 7th, 2010 at 7:55 pm
You are Great Comrade!, I like very much your templates, now I am using it, I wanna your further guideline regarding errors if they happen……..
January 8th, 2010 at 4:19 am

January 26th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
This template is aMaZiNg! I would also like to see options available for fonts/colors. Thank You for offering it so generously. Have you designed any others?
January 26th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
i’d love to get the yellow nav tabs on my site as well, but unable to find the info you suggested to hyelyn over here.
January 27th, 2010 at 10:10 pm
all the template is beautiful but the most beautiful is water color
January 28th, 2010 at 9:53 am
Hi, this is beautiful but I am stuck- i can’t get to my navigation/tool bar to add another post or change/delete this template! what can I do? Basically, it’s like I am a reader rather than the author of the blog….
January 28th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
hi there… i have added my flickr id on the footer coding… added pics on my flickr account… but pics arent showing up… help? please email me.
January 31st, 2010 at 12:58 am
greetings!
i read through previous posts but didn’t find the solution to my problem. on a previous template from blogger you could have on it who is following the blog. i’ve lost that feature with this wonderful template i suppose, but how do i get rid of it from the top of my page? thanks so much!!
wanda
February 2nd, 2010 at 8:30 pm
Hi E,
You need to access blogger site itself to manage your blog.
February 6th, 2010 at 5:18 am
I love this template! The only problem I’m having is that the text isn’t inset enough when I make blog posts, so it crosses over the “notepaper” edge and into the beige border area. I’m using a 1366×768 display. It looks fine at 800×600, but doesn’t translate well to widescreen. How can I tweak this so it looks right?
February 7th, 2010 at 9:58 pm
i’m having the same problem as Nads above. the flickr section is not working after creating an account and adding pics and putting the code into blogger. suggestions?
also, will there ever be a way to get the navigation bar back at the top so that we don’t have to go back to the blogger home page?
love the template! thanks so much!
February 14th, 2010 at 2:57 pm
I’ve looked all around for this info. You have been definitely handy. Thanks so significantly. I’m gonna go have a sunless tan now
February 16th, 2010 at 4:47 am
I have an issue with the date – it will show up for about a second and then disappear and the margins look off. How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Nikki
February 18th, 2010 at 4:36 pm
Dear admin, your site is great…thumbs up!!!Suitable for a beginner like me…do you have kids templates?appreciate if you could share with us more and more colourful templates
February 20th, 2010 at 10:27 pm
Hi – I am getting the undefined date appearance as well however, when I follow the instructions at the beginning of the thread they point to an area that isn’t there. I couldn’t find the date format on the:
Layout > Page Elements > edit Blog Posts > change time format to long date (e.g Wednesday, June 17, 2009). Remember, change time format NOT date format.
It would be the 3rd field.
Edit Posts is under Postings and not Layout. But I have the date already set to the long form…so I’m not sure what’s happening.
Help please?
